Hash Code is a team programming competition, organized by Google, for students and professionals around the world. You pick your team and programming language and Google pick an engineering problem for you to solve. This year’s contest kicks off with an Online Qualification, where your team can compete virtually from wherever you’d like, alongside our virtual Hub. Top teams will then be invited to compete from Google's virtual World Finals.
We will be having our Edvicon International hub VIRTUAL this year. We accept HashCoders from all countries including Edvicon International members.
Follow the steps given below to participate in Edvicon International Hub and earn the benefits given by Edvicon International. Make sure to be active on the Edvicon Workplace HashCode group you will be added after the successful registration. We will be communicating and award you via the same group. You will be connecting with coders from all around the world.
Once you’ve registered for the contest, you’ll gain access to Google's Judge System. The Judge System is their online platform where you’ll form your team, join a Hub, practice, and compete during the rounds. During the Online Qualification, you’ll watch Google's YouTube livestream to be introduced to the problem, and your team will have four hours to solve an optimization problem using the programming language and tools of your choice. Teams can also compete alongside other teams in your area by joining a virtual Hub . The top teams from the Online Qualification will be invited to the virtual World Finals, where they’ll work together to solve another challenge and compete for cash prizes.
You will be awarded with a certificate by Google. And winners will get more awards from Google.
No qualifications at all. You just have to form a team and participate in the competition. But, you will need to have basic programming knowledge.
For the Online Qualification, your team can participate from anywhere using your own computer and internet connection. To make this round even more exciting, you can participate with a virtual Hub. Hubs are linked to offices, universities, and cities around the world so that teams can compete side-by-side. If you decide to join a Hub, you will get access to a scoreboard just for your Hub to see how your team ranks compared to your peers and friends. Participating from a Hub is a great way to meet new people!
